Karl Lagerfeld has been quite the headliner recently. After his comments about singer Adele several weeks ago, the 78-year-old (really, 78?!) Chanel designer was in need of some light-hearted publicity, and as it’s been said, “Impersonation is the sincerest form of flattery.” Well, Mr. Lagerfeld, consider this a dose of flattery and some light-hearted publicity:
As part of the latest advertising campaign for Pop Chips (yum!), Ashton Kutcher impersonated the iconic designer as “Darl” in a promotional video (seen below). The misleadingly sexual comments make this video somewhat inappropriate [for a 78 year old] but hilarious — and the outfit and hair are just too perfect! (However, I could definitely have gone for a fan wave somewhere in the video.) But aside from the casting of the Chihuahua “Poo Poo” for Lagerfeld’s cat “Choupette,” I give Mr. Two and a Half Men major kudos for his exquisite impersonation.
What do you think?
