Forgive us if we sound a bit skeptical, but Avril Lavigne and nail art? WWD reports the pop-punk singer has signed a deal with Sally Hansen to lend her aesthetics to a line of Salon Effects: Real Nail Polish Strips. The worst part about all of this? We sort of like what we see so far. (Cringe.)
Now, don’t get us wrong. We used to be huge Avril fans! Her album Let Go was life-changing. If these strips existed then, we would have begged our moms to buy an endless supply. But a decade later? We’ll consider giving them a spin for the sake of nail art. (We’ll do anything for nail art, as long as it fits in our budget.)
It’s important to note how this isn’t Avril’s first foray into the world of beauty. She has also put her creative juices into a line of perfumes, including Black Star, Forbidden Rose and Wild Rose.
These nail strips will be available April 2012.
